Configuring Domains of Uniqueness for Duplicate Detection

Product: SP Connect (Data-Sync) Module

Privileges: Primary Admin privileges

There are a few ways to add new Domains of Uniqueness.

• To add DoU through the SIS App setting, please follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your School Passport  profile, and navigate to Connect (Data-Sync) module;
2. Click on the SIS App icon;
3. On the App dashboard, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner;
4. Choose Domains of Uniqueness tab;
5. Select the entity in which you need to configure Domains of Uniqueness and click on the + NEW DOMAIN IF UNIQUENESS button;
   
6. Choose attribute for DoU;
7. Drag the slider for “Auto Merge”;
8. Once the configuration is complete, click on the blue SAVE button.
   
   

• To add DoU through the Data Quality section, please follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your School Passport  profile, and navigate to Connect (Data-Sync) module;
2. Go to the Data Quality section, and choose the Duplicates tab; 
3. Click on the Domains of Uniqueness part;
4. Select the application from which the data will be sorted, then select the entity in which you need to configure Domains of Uniqueness and click on the + NEW DOMAINS OF UNIQUENESS button;
   
5. Choose attribute for DoU;
6. Drag the slider for “Auto Merge”;
7. Once the configuration is complete, click on the blue SAVE button.
