Google Classroom is a powerful and easy-to-use Learning platform that works with many other third-party apps and services to make digital education easier, more affordable, and accessible for teachers, students, guardians, and admins alike.

Requirements

  • A District Admin account in School Passport with Primary permissions.
  • An active Google Classroom account with access to the class shells/courses and users (students/teachers).

Add Google Classroom from the gallery

To create the integration of Google Classroom into School Passport, add the Google Classroom app from the Application Gallery to your list of managed apps.

  1. Sign in to School Passport
  2. Browse to the Connect Application Gallery.
  3. In the Filters section, type Google Classroom in the search box and select Google Classroom from the results panel. Alternatively, you can directly access the link.
  4. Click Activate.

Configure Google Classroom

Once Google Classroom app is activated, follow these steps to configure it in School Passport:

  1. On the Sync Mode step:

    • Select Import to bring data from Google Classroom to School Passport. With this mode, Google Classroom is used as a data source for School Passport.

    • (Recommended) Select 2-way Sync to provide changes in both directions. That applies to create, edit, and delete operations. For example, if the teacher pushes a newly created assignment from SIS to School Passport, it will automatically be reflected in their Google Classroom account, and vice versa.
