Data requirements
See full data requirements in the following table. Please note, there are separate tabs for every entry at the bottom of the table.
Onboarding process
Note: You can't set up SmartLab using an existing School Passport account, even if that account is empty and doesn't have any other apps. We'll need to make a new profile specifically for the SmartLab app.
If you are already a GG4L Member, and your email address is linked to the existing school/district School Passport profile, we will request you provide an alternative email address for creating a School Passport account, especially for SmartLab.
The GG4L Onboarding process for the SmartLab integration consists of the following steps:
1. Onboarding initiation
Firstly, you need to fill in and submit the Onboarding form. Once the form is submitted, GG4L will offer you an Introductory meeting to talk about all the integration details and help you with onboarding.
Important: Specify how to identify the courses in your SIS that need to be shared with the vendor. This could include specific attributes, titles, course codes, or any other relevant criteria.
2. Roster data integration
Upon submission of the form, you will receive SIS (Student Information System) Data Integration instructions within 24 hours. These instructions guide you on how to set up the data-sharing integration between your SIS and the School Passport. Please pay attention to the following guidelines regarding the SIS settings you use:
- Don`t edit the following SIS Settings: SIS ID Prefix (Delivery Config > Advanced Settings), Attributes Mappings, and Filter Rules; doing so leads to irreversible data issues.
- When creating new School Mappings, ensure that they are exclusively for schools designated to share data with SmartLab
If you require any edits in your configuration, please reach out to onboarding@gg4l.com for assistance.
Before you begin sharing data with School Passport, please ensure that you review the data requirements. Once the data is synchronized, we will validate and check its quality before proceeding with the sharing process. If any details need clarification, the GG4L Customer Support Representative will contact you.
3. SmartLab activation and configuration
Once the data is successfully imported to School Passport, you will receive activation and configuration instructions for SmartLab.
4. SSO setup
Once the data is validated by SmartLab, we provide you with the Single Sign-On (SSO) link.
Please make sure the emails of the registered users use one of the supported IdPs: Google Workspace, Microsoft ADFS, and Office 365/Azure.
