GG4L offers two main options of grade sync to the LMS: Final Course Grade sync and Granular Grade sync for gradable items.
FINAL GRADE SYNC
Students will have a single grade for a course.
This option provides the sync of the final grade for the course back to the LMS. To set up this grade sync option, the following steps must be completed:
- GG4L provides the necessary instructions on how to set up an LTI tool in the LMS (the instructions can be found at the end of this article).
- The LTI Administrator of the educational organization creates the tool in the LMS and sends the required values (listed in the instructions) to the GG4L Customer Support team and the grade sync option that the organization has chosen.
- GG4L Customer Support sets up a connection with the LTI tool created in the LMS and generates the links to the courses of the chosen Google Certificate.
- The links to the Google Certificate courses are published in the LMS by the instructors or LMS Admin.
- The students click the links and are redirected to Qwiklabs. At this time GG4L School Passport platform receives the necessary LTI and LIS parameters to connect the student’s enrollment in the LMS and their course results in Qwiklabs.
- When the student completes the Google Certificate course with a result higher than 70%, the School Passport platform pulls the final course grade from Qwiklabs and sends it over to the LMS.
Note: as a rule, the grade sync takes around 24 hours (from the moment the student has completed the course to the moment the grade is published in the LMS).

GRANULAR GRADE SYNC
Sync of all gradable items - Students will have grades for all the gradable items (quizzes/tests/labs/etc) of the course.
This option provides the sync of the grades for all course assignments in bulk to the LMS. The instructor will publish the link to the Google Certificate course and the grades for all the gradable items (tests/quizzes/labs/etc) will be transferred back to the LMS (BUT there will be no final grade for the whole course in the LMS grade book).
Note: the entries for the grades for gradable items will appear in the LMS grade book after at least one of the students receives a grade for that activity.

Additionally: if the grade did not appear in the LMS grade book 2 days after the completion, please ask the student to click on the link to the course again. If it did not help solve the issue, reach out to support@gg4l.com and provide the following info: course name, student’s email, and course completion date.
