Data requirements

See full data requirements in the following table. Please note, that there are separate tabs for every entry at the bottom of the table.

Onboarding process

The GG4L Onboarding process for the SST integration consists of the following steps:

1. Onboarding initiation

Firstly, you need to fill in and submit the Onboarding form. Once the form is submitted, GG4L will offer you an Introductory meeting to talk about all the integration details and help you with onboarding.

2. Roster data integration

Upon submission of the form, you will receive SIS Data Integration instructions within 24 hours. These instructions guide you on how to set up the data-sharing integration between your SIS and the School Passport. Before you begin sharing data with School Passport, please ensure that you review the data requirements

Important:

The connection between the SIS and the SST must be established as follows:

Set up the data source as outlined below, then initiate the sync process. Once the data is synced, we will validate and check the data quality before sharing it. If any details require clarification, the GG4L Customer Support Representative will contact you.

2.1. PowerSchool

Update a Power School plugin by providing the following data to School Passport:

  • Critical: Is_identified_as_homeless, homeless_primary_nighttime_residence,  homeless_unaccompanied_youth
  • Optional: homeroom, ell_status, lunch_status, special_education_status, alert_medical

2.2. Other data sources

Import data using CSV files in OneRoster format including the corresponding metadata fields. To simplify the process, you can use OneRoster CSV templates. Configure the file transfer directly from your local directory or via SFTP Import through FTP clients (WinCSP/FileZilla).

Note: For Skyward SIS, use Skyward – SST Processes instructions.

3.  SST activation and configuration

Once the data is successfully imported to School Passport, you will receive activation and configuration instructions for the SST.
